Deliver with Angie Eats

   A kitchen finishes an order

   When food is ready for a delivery, the platform looks for a courier — the nearest one who is online and cleared to work.

   You get an offer, with the pay on it

   What the run pays comes from the restaurant’s delivery zone and is frozen onto the order when it is placed. It cannot be revised down afterwards, because the number is written to the order rather than recalculated later. You have 45 seconds to answer, counted by our server rather than by your phone, so a slow clock cannot cost you a run.

   You collect and deliver

   The order carries the restaurant, the customer’s address and any delivery instructions they saved with it.

   Unclaimed runs are chased by a human

   If nobody accepts an offer, or a courier goes quiet with food on board, it lands in an exception queue an operator works through. It does not sit silently while a customer waits.

There is nothing to download yet. The courier app is not finished and it is not on the App Store or Google Play, so nobody on this page will ever ask you to install something. If a message claiming to be from Angie Eats sends you to a courier app today, it is not from us.

What is built is the platform behind it: going on and off shift, offers with the pay already on them, accepting a run, and the exception queue an operator works when something goes wrong. Applying now registers you and puts you in the queue — we will contact you about what happens next.

When there is an app, it will report your position every fifteen seconds while you are carrying an order and at no other time. That is not a policy sentence, it is how the platform is built: a position is only accepted against a live delivery, and the customer is shown it only while it is fresh. Off shift, we are not asking where you are.

• Tips are not yours

  On Angie Eats the customer’s tip is passed to the restaurant in full — that is how the platform’s ledger records it. What you are paid for a run is the run. We would rather you knew that now than on your first Friday.

• You will be visible to the customer

  While you are carrying an order the customer sees roughly how far away you are, and your first name and vehicle. Not your route, not your history, and nothing at all once the delivery is done.

• A person approves every application

  Not an algorithm. If an application is refused, or an account is later suspended, you are told plainly and given the reason rather than being left with a login that quietly does nothing.

• You are not an employee

  Delivering with Angie Eats is self-employed work. The exact terms — pay rates, pay cycle, and what we are required to check before you can start — are set out in writing before you begin.

A smartphone, the right to work where you are applying, and something to deliver on — on foot, a bicycle, a scooter or a car all work, because the platform prices and dispatches by distance rather than by vehicle. Anything the law requires us to see before you start, we will ask for and tell you about first.
