What Angie Eats stores on your device

Not just cookies. Everything — cookies, local storage, session storage, and anything else a browser keeps. Each one is listed with what it is for, how long it lasts, and whether you get a say.

Angie Eats runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. There is no third-party script on any page you can reach without signing in as staff. The only outside company your browser talks to while you order is the one that takes the payment, at the moment you pay.

When you are ordering food

Listed for the same reason as everything else: the law protects the device, not the job title of the person holding it.

Messages, and what they need

Emails and notifications about your order are part of the order — we send them because you placed one, and they do not stop. Offers and promotions are a separate switch, it is off until you turn it on, and the two are never bundled. You can change it in your profile.

If you use the Angie Eats app: your phone’s own “allow notifications?” prompt is not us asking whether you want offers. It is your phone asking whether Angie Eats may show notifications at all. Allowing it never signs you up for promotional messages.

Food, faith and health

Telling Angie Eats that you eat halal or kosher, or that you are coeliac or allergic to nuts, says something about your religion or your health. Those are protected in a way an address or a phone number is not, so Angie Eats asks separately before storing any of them, keeps them apart from everything else it knows about you, and never works them out from what you have ordered. Suggestions work without them.
