If something is wrong with an order you have already placed, start from the order itself — it reaches an operator with the order attached, so nobody has to ask you for a reference number.

Something is wrong with a live order

Ordering

How do I find restaurants that deliver to me?

Enter your address on the front page, or let the site use your device’s location. Everything you are shown after that has been checked against that point — restaurants that cannot reach it are greyed out with the reason rather than hidden.

You can search by restaurant name, by city, or by dish. Filters cover free delivery, rating, estimated time, price band and dietary tags, and the results tell you which filters were actually applied.

Do I need an account to order?

No. You can collect or eat in without one — scan the code on the table, order, pay. We ask only for an email address or a mobile number, because an order needs a receipt and a way to tell you when it is ready.

Delivery does need an account today, because a delivery is priced against a saved address and we will not price one from a location a browser claims.

Ordering without an account means no points on that order, no store credit and no saved card — all three belong to a person, and there is no person. If you make an account afterwards, the link on your receipt moves that order into it, so you keep the receipt, the history and the ability to report a problem with it. Do it while the kitchen still has your order and it earns points normally.

Is there an Angie Eats app for my phone?

Not yet, and there is nothing to download. Angie Eats works in any phone browser today — the whole of it, including checkout and following your order. Your browser’s own “add to home screen” puts an Angie Eats icon next to your other apps if you would like one there.

Apps for iPhone and Android are being built. They are not on the App Store or Google Play, so if something claiming to be Angie Eats asks you to install an app, it is not us. When there is a real listing, the link will be on this page and in the footer of every page.

Can I order from two restaurants at once?

Not in one basket. A basket belongs to one restaurant, because two kitchens cannot be handed one ticket. If you open another restaurant’s menu and start adding, that becomes the basket you are working on — so check out one order before you start the next.

Can I schedule an order for later?

Yes. At checkout, choose Later and pick a day and a time. You can book up to a week ahead, in fifteen-minute slots, and only times the kitchen has actually said yes to are offered — so a slot you can pick is a slot they can cook.

Each restaurant sets how much notice it needs, and the picker tells you what that is. The kitchen starts your order in time for the slot you chose, not the moment you place it, so scheduling a lunch the night before does not mean cold food.

Collection and delivery can have different notice periods at the same restaurant, because driving it somewhere takes longer than handing it over. Changing between them may change which times are available.

What is the minimum order?

It is set by the restaurant, per delivery zone, so it depends on both where you are and where they are. It is shown above the menu together with the delivery fee for your address, and it applies to the food rather than to the total after fees. Collection orders have no delivery minimum.

Payment, fees and tax

Will the total change after I press pay?

No. The total on the checkout screen is produced by the same pricing pass that takes the payment, and an automated test fails the build if those two numbers can differ. Items, service fees, delivery, tax and tip are itemised before you commit.

When is my card charged?

The amount is authorised — reserved, not taken — when you place the order. It is captured when the restaurant accepts. If no restaurant accepts, the reservation is released rather than being taken and refunded.

Do you store my card details?

No. Card fields are served by the payment provider inside their own frame; what reaches Angie Eats is a token that means nothing outside their system. The database has no column that could hold a card number or a security code, and there is an automated test that fails the build if one is ever added.

The last four digits and the card brand are kept, because a receipt that cannot tell you which card you used is a receipt you cannot check.

Where does the tip go?

The tip is calculated on the food total only — never on delivery, on fees or on tax — and it is passed through in full to the restaurant. That is how the platform’s own ledger records it, not a marketing statement.

I have account credit. How is it used?

Available credit is applied to the order before the card is charged, and the checkout screen shows how much was used and what is left to pay.

Do you sell gift cards?

Not yet. There is no gift card product on Angie Eats today, and we would rather say so than take you to a page that sells nothing.

Delivery and collection

How long will it take?

The estimate on each restaurant card comes from that restaurant, not from an average of the platform. Where a restaurant has not given us one, the card shows no time at all rather than a guess — an invented time is a promise somebody has to keep.

Can I see where the driver is?

Yes, once the food is on its way. The order screen shows how far away the courier is — written out in words, and drawn as a diagram with distance rings around your address. It is a straight-line distance rather than a street map, and we draw it ourselves from two points, so no map service is involved and nobody outside Angie Eats is told where you live.

If we have not heard from the courier’s phone for two minutes, the position disappears and the screen says how long ago we last heard. A pin that has silently stopped moving looks exactly like tracking, and it is the reason people stop phoning and find out at the end — so we would rather show you the gap.

Before the food leaves the restaurant there is nothing to show, and the screen says so rather than drawing a courier who has not collected yet.

I entered the wrong address.

Open the order and use “report a problem” straight away. Whether the address can still be changed depends on how far along the order is; the order screen offers exactly what is still possible and nothing that is not.

Can I collect instead of having it delivered?

If the restaurant offers it, yes — switch to collection on the results page. Collection orders have no delivery fee and no delivery minimum.

Cancellations, problems and refunds

How do I cancel an order?

Open the order. If cancelling is still possible, the button is there; once a restaurant has committed to cooking the food it is not, and it disappears rather than staying and failing. The rule is enforced by the same server assessment that draws the button, so the screen can never offer something the platform will refuse.

Something was missing, cold, or wrong.

Use “report a problem” on the order. It attaches your message to the order, with the items and the amounts already on it, and it reaches an operator who can issue a refund — in full or on part of the order.

How long does a refund take?

The refund is sent to the original payment method as soon as it is approved. How long it then takes to appear is decided by your bank, not by us, and it is usually a few working days. We will not quote you a number we do not control.

My order never arrived.

Report it on the order. Do not re-place it first: an operator can see the whole order, what state it stopped in and what was authorised or captured, and can resolve it without you paying twice.

Your account

How do I change my details?

Your profile holds your name, email and phone number. Delivery addresses live in saved addresses, each with its own delivery instructions.

How do rewards work?

Orders earn points, and a tier is calculated from your spend over a rolling twelve months. The rewards screen shows the statement each number came from, so you can check it rather than take it on trust — and a tier can go down again when old spend falls outside the window, which is why the window is on the screen.

Can you delete my data?

You can ask us to delete what we hold about you. Orders themselves are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, because an order is also a financial record and one side of a ledger cannot be removed. The privacy policy sets out what is held and for how long.
